On June 30th Autism Together had a bumper evening of awards events to look forward to, as we found ourselves finalists in two different ceremonies at the same time!

We had a group of staff attending the Wirral Business Awards at Woodside Ferry Market in Birkenhead, where we were shortlisted for the Social Business/Charity Of The Year Award.

And then a group of staff and people we support headed to Birmingham for the National Learning Disabilities & Autism Awards. Here we were up for two possible awards – the People’s Award for our Bromborough Pool Garden Centre team, and the Employer award for Autism Together as a whole.

Unfortunately we didn’t manage to come away with a trophy, but to be chosen as finalists is a fantastic achievement for all our staff and the people we support.

It’s wonderful to be amongst the top 3 regionally in the Wirral Business Awards for ‘Charity of the Year’. And to be shortlisted in a prestigious national award ceremony in the Learning Disability & Autism Awards is brilliant too.

Thanks to the staff and people we support who attended the awards ceremonies and those who worked hard to help us get recognised by the judges in the first place.

Here’s hoping for better luck next year.
