The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the official, regulatory organisation that inspects our care facilities and makes sure they are in line with a nationally recognised standards. The CQC ask five key questions of care providers which are as follows:
- 1. Are they safe?
- 2. Are they effective?
- 3. Are they caring?
- 4. Are they responsive to people’s needs?
- 5. Are they well lead
They gather evidence and make a judgement which is:
- 1. Outstanding
- 2. Good
- 3. Requiring improvement
- 4. Inadequate
