Every new employee at Autism Together receives full training from our award-winning in-house team, before working with the people we support. Our practical course includes:
- Differences and characteristics of the autism spectrum
- Autism awareness, acceptance and positivity, first aid
- IT skills
- Safeguarding for children and adults
- Autism and the senses
- How to manage medication
- Creating visual structures to aid understanding in support and communication
- Plus any other help needed to support autistic adults each day
