Director of Finance

Autism Together is looking for an individual to join our team as a Finance Director to help us create meaningful social change for people living with autism. This is a rewarding position with a charity looking to organically grow the services we provide to the most important individuals of our society.

As a member of the Executive Team, the successful candidate will ensure that our finances can propel the mission of Autism Together, which is to help individuals with autism and their families live rich and fulfilling lives. With an ambitious growth plan, excellent financial discipline will be critical to our future success.

Your role will involve managing budgets, developing financial strategies, and managing key operational activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing a financial strategy for short- and long-term sustainable growth and performance.
  • Establishing and developing a finance team with capability to support the charities needs
  • Monitoring financial performance against budgeted targets and providing advice and analysis on current results.
  • Reporting on financial performance to the Board of Directors and relevant stakeholders
  • Developing internal controls and audit procedures to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Overseeing cash flows and capital expenditures.
  • Monitoring and managing debtors and creditors
  • CCAB/ ACA/ ICAS/ CIMA or similar qualified preferred
  • Demonstrable experience operating in a Senior position supporting and leading financial strategies.
  • Practical experience in a finance-related field and experience leading the finance function
  • CCAB/ ACA/ ICAS/ CIMA or similar qualified preferred
  • An understanding of the charity sector is desirable
