Huge thanks to John Lewis for their grant of £1,200 towards our Pathway to Work Service!

We successfully applied for funding through John Lewis Community Matters, for projects relating to ‘Employability and Education’.

Our Pathway To Work Service provides people we support, who are interested in work opportunities, active support towards and during the initial stages of employment, while advising employers on any adjustments required and liaising between the employer and the individual involved.

We welcomed Chris Clark from John Lewis Liverpool, who met Mark White – our Pathway to Work Co-ordinator – along with Steven and Chris, people we support who are currently accessing the service.

Chris was able to learn more about the job placements the men currently have, and their hopes for the future.

Our Fundraising Officer, Chloe Jones, was also in attendance, and explained:

“This fantastic donation will be used to fund specialist employability training and IT equipment; such as tablets to enable our staff to help the people we support with CV writing, interview techniques, job searches, and much more.”

We look forward to continuing to work with John Lewis Liverpool on future projects, including welcoming them on a corporate volunteer day soon.
