“The rain mercifully merely threatened and by 4 o’clock we had raised £2,600 for our appeal to build 2 additional bedrooms to our respite centre, The Ferns.
Many thanks to all who helped and supported.”
Saturday 16th July was the big day for our Family Fun Day at Tranmere Rovers FC and despite the weather being overcast and with the odd threat of rain people came from all corners of the Wirral and beyond to enjoy the event.
Our own Beathovens along with much help and support provided live music, dancing and even a puppet show in the Belmont Suite with an open bar for the grown-ups.
In the Recreation Centre the café was busy all day alongside the young and less young having a go at beating the goalie or playing Futsal while Rover the Dog mascot looked on.
Outside stalls purveying all manner of enticement from face-painting to fruit and hanging baskets to henna tattoos alongside the coconut shy and ever popular inflatable slides and bouncy castle to test even the most energetic.
The rain mercifully merely threatened and by 4 o’clock we had raised £2,600 for our appeal to build 2 additional bedrooms to our respite centre, The Ferns.
Many thanks to all who helped and supported.
