Join Jurgen Klopp in supporting our autism awareness month this April…
Today is World Autism Awareness Day and the start of Autism Together Awareness Month.
This year we had planned a whole month of celebrations to spread autism awareness, while people across the region had organised their own fundraisers too, including bake sales, fancy dress days, sponsored events and runners in the London Marathon.
Those can’t now go ahead, but we are still determined to make this year count. So please, get involved at home, get the kids involved, do your own mini-fundraisers and spread awareness and acceptance of autism, throughout April.
Please visit our new Autism Together Awareness Month page, packed full of info and fun things for all ages to enjoy, including a kids funbook, a quiz about autism, and ideas about how you can get involved.
You can even download and print your own sign, just like the one Jurgen’s holding (with Rick from Autism Together), and then take a photo and tag us in. We met Jurgen before the lockdown, in his office in Melwood, and he was kind enough to pose with our sign.
Whatever you plan to do, please take lots of photos and videos, and share them with us on social media with the hashtage #ATAM or #ATawareness.
Thanks for your support.
