Wirral Autistic Society are at the heart of a proposed community project to build public barbeques and picnic benches at Wirral Country Park and are asking supporters to help by voting for the scheme online.

The vote has been organised by Wirral West Community Fund and will help residents of the Wirral and further afield, enjoy the beautiful views, flora and fauna that surround the visitor centre and pathways in Wirral Country Park. Over 250, 000 people visited the park last year.

They have asked for people to click on this link until Friday 6th February to place their vote online:

Alternatively supporters can attend an event detailed below, to show their support or complete a voting paper by picking one up from their local Wirral West Library or One Stop Shop.

  • Friday 23rd January 6pm to 8pm at Westbourne Hall, West Kirby (Hoylake, Meols, West Kirby and Thurstaston groups)
  • Tuesday 27th January 6pm to 8pm at Thingwall Primary School, Thingwall (Pensby, Thingwall, Upton and Woodchurch groups)
  • Thursday 29th January 6pm to 8pm at Our Lady of Pity Primary School, Greasby (Greasby, Frankby and Irby groups)
