The Lifetime Appeal is for the essential redevelopment of our Raby Hall site and will provide a future for clients living in our residential care setting.
Raby Hall opened its doors to its first residents in 1977 and was officially opened by HRH, Princess Anne in November 1979.
People who live at Raby have autism but also have additional complex needs such as severe communication difficulties, poorly developed social skills and awareness, and sensory processing difficulties.
Unfortunately the original Raby Hall can no longer adequately meet such complexities.
Our new plans are almost as ambitious and significant as the purchase of the original Raby Hall in that we are looking to redevelop most of the residential facilities on the Raby site over the next 10 years.
