Dobbies Quiet Grottos with Autism Together
We have worked with Dobbies Garden Centre to make their Quiet Grotto sessions autism-friendly. These sessions will be available in 50 of their stores across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Slots can now be booked for Friday, 10th December, 2.30pm onwards, for grotto visits for children with additional needs. This means no queuing on the day and a reduced number of people too.
Grotto staff will have autism awareness training; the grotto music will be turned off; twinkling lights will be removed or switched off; and your child’s gift can be wrapped or not.
Prior to visiting, customers will also be emailed a photo of their specific grotto, in order to prepare children for what they will see on the day.
