Jake and Chloe with defibrillator

Great news!!

The defibrillator our supporters fundraised for has been installed at our Heritage Cafe site at Port Sunlight River Park.

We announced the appeal at our Summer Fun Day last year and, since then, our fantastic supporters and AED Donate have helped us raise the £2,000 needed to install the life-saving device.

This device could save the lives of autistic people working at the park, the charity’s staff, volunteers, supporters or the general public who enjoy the site daily.

Claire Hughes, who supports our award-winning Kiosk team at the River Park, said: “I have had to use my first aid training in the past while working on site, and so it’s very reassuring to know the defibrillator is here and could save someone’s life, if needed.”

Pictured is River Park Kiosk volunteer Jake with our Fundraising Officer Chloe Jones around the newly installed defibrillator, which is located to the right of the Heritage Cafe’s main doors. You’ll find the cafe building and kiosk at the riverside viewing area, below the park’s summit.
