Robin-Bush-2

Wirral Autistic Society has appointed Robin Bush to take over as their chief executive when Dianne Asher retires from the post at the end of September.

Robin has worked in social care for more than 20 years starting at grass roots and rising to managing director of Preston-based Living Ambitions which provides services for people who need support to achieve their potential. He expanded the operation from two to 16 locations and saw the staff increase to 135.

Previously he had been head of operations with Autism Initiatives helping to set up services in Liverpool and the Isle of Man.

Mr Bush is aged 41 and married to the managing director of a health care company. The couple live near Preston and have two children. His interests include rock climbing, running, restoring vintage cars and cooking.

He said: “I was delighted to be offered this post; Wirral Autistic Society has an excellent reputation for providing high quality care and support to people with autism and I look forward to building on the many successes of recent years.”
