World Autism Awareness Day – Thursday, 2nd April 2015
On behalf of people with autism everywhere.
With 1 individual in 100 affected by autism, we want to increase understanding of the condition and how this can affect so many of us. If you could take this pack to your child’s school or into your workplace, it will be an opportunity to highlight the difficulties that can be faced every day.
In 2007, the United Nations General Assembly designated 2nd April as World Autism Awareness Day to raise awareness of autism on all levels of society. Since then it has been specifically marked around the world, with more and more countries, organisations and individuals participating.
This year we would like you to Get Your Blue On for autism awareness and wear, decorate and shine.
Wear your best blue clothes or buy one of our blue ribbons, decorate your home, office, street or school with blue balloons or shine a blue light inside or onto your home, office or school on the 2nd April 2015.
