A dedicated team who will deal with new admissions and referrals to the range of services provided by Wirral Autistic Society has launched.
The Admissions and Referrals Team are responsible for liaising with the individual, families and local authorities to identify the best services to use within the wide range of the Society’s activities – these include Respite (Take a Break at the Ferns), Supported Living, Domiciliary care, Community & Vocational Services (CVS) and Residential services.
The Admissions Team, based at the Society’s head office, Oak House, will also support clients and their carers to identify and secure funding. The team will ensure a smooth transition between service managers and the individual into the Society’s comprehensive services.
Angie Kemp, Development Manager, said “We are delighted to have been able to introduce a Admissions Team as a single point of contact for accessing our services and believe it will prove invaluable to new clients and their carers and the broader social care profession”.
Jane Carolan, Director of Client Services, said “Angie and her team have a depth of experience of working with people who have an autistic spectrum condition in several settings within the Society. We see the creation of this team as an exciting opportunity to further enhance our ability to respond to potential service users and commissioners offering quality bespoke packages of care and support”.
