The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the official, regulatory organisation that inspects our care facilities and makes sure they are in line with a nationally recognised standards. The CQC ask five key questions of care providers which are as follows:

  • 1. Are they safe?
  • 2. Are they effective?
  • 3. Are they caring?
  • 4. Are they responsive to people’s needs?
  • 5. Are they well lead

They gather evidence and make a judgement which is:

  • 1. Outstanding
  • 2. Good
  • 3. Requiring improvement
  • 4. Inadequate
