Friday 13th May proved to be lucky for Autism Together as a record breaking number of quiz teams gathered at Heswall Hall for the fifth time to have fun and raise much-needed funds for our Respite Appeal to build an additional two bedrooms on our current centre in Raby Hall, The Ferns.

Altogether 28 teams participated this year for an event which is still dedicated to the incredible Peter Kenrick who made quizzing so successful as a fundraiser for Autism Together. While Peter is sadly no longer with us, his partner Julie Ellsmoor and sons, James and Adam, have ensured his legacy endures.

As usual there was a superb scouse supper courtesy of Darren at the Dee View Hotel in Lower Heswall and music from our old friend and supporter Jimmy Rae who, together with Cath, his partner in Semi-Acoustic, were both in fine voice. The brilliant Steve Roberts, yet again, devised and hosted the quiz itself and the whole night was held together by local funny man Johnny Jones.

Over £3.000 was raised on the night so a huge thank you to Julie and everybody who made the night such a success.
